Mexican Chef Elena Reygadas has succeeded Brazil’s Helena Rizzo as winner of the Veuve Clicquot Latin America’s Best Female Chef award, which recognises chefs for outstanding work, innovation, and creativity. Mexico City Native Reygadas studied at New York’s French Culinary Institute and conceived a passion for Italian food while working in London. She brought that passion back to her hometown when she opened her Rosetta restaurant in Mexico City’s Roma district four years ago, and gave it a Mexican flavour by blending in local ingredients and culinary traditions. Reygadas’ two-year-old Panadería Rosetta bakery has also made a name for itself, supplying artisan breads to many of Rosetta’s competitors among high-end restaurants. She’s interviewed in the video below.
Hasta la próxima!
