Telenovela actress Edith Gonzales and her politician husband Lorenzo Lazo were robbed at gunpoint last week in a Mexico City shopping centre. The actress, one of biggest names in Mexican soap operas, tweeted soon after the assault addressing the message directly to Federal District chief Miguel Mascara: “Sr @ManceraMiguelMX nos acaban de asaltar a mi esposo @LazoMargain y a mi, me encañonaron adentro de una tienda en San Jerónimo, #Inseguridad”. It was closely followed by another from her husband: “@ManceraMiguelMX me reclamo a ud. Nos asaltaron a mi esposa y a mi! YA BASTA! #inseguridad = #complicidad!”.
