Weekly Summary

Mexico’s earthquake last week seemed to shake the system. No one was reported hurt, but a lot of news fell off the wire. The Netherlands’ UNIT4, India’s Tech Mahindra and TireStamp of the US all moved to distribute their tech-based products and capabilities in the country. In heavier industry, another Mexican company exported its presence as Nemak broke ground on an auto components materials factory in Russia, proving again that there’s more to Mexico overseas than Carlos Slim. In a long-running scandal, businessman Gastón Azcárraga reversed the old cowboy saw of “make it to the border” by making for the US border to seek political asylum from money-laundering charges.

After hours, we leapt from last week’s world’s most beautiful woman to some of its better-looking men; and listened to Carlos Santana’s latest. For dinner, we sought the best Tex-Mex chilli recipe and discovered it from a surprising source!

Hasta la próxima!
